Apart from losing to Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United have been incredible over the last couple of months.“Yes, Liverpool have players who can cause serious problems for United, but it’s the same the other way round, too.”3

He continued: “If you said to Jurgen Klopp before the start of the game would he take a point I’m sure he would all day long. That would be a great result for them.“At the start of the season they would have looked at this fixture and thought if we can get a point there and win the home game against United it would be a fantastic return.“Liverpool are in a great position to achieve that.”Klopp’s side were seven points clear at the top last month but City have completely cut that deficit, with Tottenham and Chelsea still to visit Anfield before the season concludes.However, former Liverpool midfielder Redknapp insists a trophy-less season for the Reds would not represent failure, considering the world class opposition they are up against.3

If Liverpool dont end up winning anything this season of course it would be a massive disappointment,” he explained.Theyve put themselves in a fantastic position.
