Hazard, who has scored 19 goals this season and created a further 16, has spent seven seasons at Stamford Bridge since joining from Lille in 2012. The 28-year-old is widely regarded as one of the world’s best players, and it’s long been believed he would enter Ballon d’Or contention were he to play in Spain.Chelsea will rue losing Hazard, who remains the club’s key player, though getting an alleged 87million for him should be considered good business since he has just a single year remaining on his contract in west London.
