Trippier may well have played his last game for Tottenham

The 28-year-olds inconsistent form has seen him dropped from Englands squad for the Nations League finals.Spurs are understood to be willing to let Trippier leave this summer and he has been linked with a move to Serie A clubs Napoli and Juventus.Following the disappointment of their Champions League final defeat to Liverpool he was asked about his future.Trippier said: “I don’t know. I go home now, spend time with my family, just recover after a long, difficult season. Everybody’s got a decision to make, no matter what.

So we’ll see what happens in pre-season.”The defender would not be short of suitors if he were to leave Tottenham, though, as Atletico Madrid are also keen on signing him along with the two Serie A teams. He was signed by Spurs in 2015 for 3.5million from Burnley to provide competition for Kyle Walker.Following Walkers departure for Manchester City, Trippier has seen more time in the starting line-up.“I want to stay in England. But what can you do?” he added. “I’ll see what happens and what the club wants, most importantly.“I give everything for this club – training sessions, games – so we’ll see what happens in pre-season.”
